The SKALE network is divided into two parts: the public network and the private network. The public network is used by anyone who wants to use the SKALE network while the private network is used by developers who want to deploy their dApps on the SKALE networ.
SKALE is also on the funding stage on Product hunt so if you like what they are doing be sure to give them an upvote and comment why you're giving them your vote! Voting starts after 2 days (23rd feb 2018) so hurry up if you want to support the project!
The SKALE team is led by CEO and Co-founder, Mihai Alisie. Mihai is a co-founder of Ethereum and has been involved in the blockchain space since its inception. He has also been involved in various startups such as Akasha Project, Aeternity and Swytch. The rest of the team consists of experienced developers and marketers who have worked on various successful projects in the past.
SKALE is currently partnered with Bluzelle, which is a decentralized database. They are also partnered with Swisscom Blockchain AG and uPort, which makes it easier to use the SKALE network for developers who want to deploy dApps on the blockchain.
SKALE has an experienced team that can help them achieve their goal of making it easier to create and run decentralized applications on the blockchain. The fact that they already have an MVP of their platform gives me confidence that they are heading in the right direction.
Developing their own programming language is also a bold move but if they are able to succeed in doing this then I think it will set them apart from other competitors in the space. If their ICO does well, I expect them to be one of the leaders in the space for decentralized applications.
SKALE is currently holding their ICO until the 15th of March 2018. During this period, you can purchase SKALES tokens at a price of 0.0025 ETH per token. The minimum contribution during this period is 0.5 ETH and if you contribute less then that then you won't be eligible to receive any tokens.
